Your commitment to our mission has made a significant impact on our ability to engage with more non-BIPOC Interpreters (more than 150+ additional Interpreters proactively took our PPO online courses, a significant increase since last year) and helped us empower BIPOC Interpreters through many different engagements during this 2024 year.

• Launch mentoring initiatives that directly address the unique challenges faced by BIPOC Interpreters.
• Facilitate more RID PPO workshops for non-BIPOC Interpreters and allowed us to help BIPOC Interpreters attend events that celebrate diverse cultures and encourage dialogue about their lived experiences in our interpreting profession.
• Provide resources and mentorship opportunities to empower new emerging BEACON Interpreter leaders within the BIPOC community and even helped us create a nonprofit BEACON Interpreter Mentoring program (BIMP) that will be launched in 2025!
Together, we can continue to making important strides toward embracing a more diverse Interpreter profession where everyone feels valued and heard.
